Heartlit Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Heartlit, a private two-person app for sending small preset heart signals. By using Heartlit, you agree to these terms.
The Service
Heartlit is designed for one private connection at a time. It is not a chat app, public social network, dating app, coaching product, therapy service, medical product, emergency service, or Apple Health integration.
Accounts
Heartlit uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for access to your Apple account and for using Heartlit only in ways that are lawful, respectful, and consistent with the app's private two-person design.
Subscriptions
Heartlit is offered through an auto-renewable monthly App Store subscription. The initial Heartlit Monthly product is $1.99 per month with a 1-week free trial where available. Pricing, taxes, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment method issues are handled by Apple under your App Store account terms.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings. Deleting your Heartlit account or removing the app does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription or trial.
Acceptable Use
Do not misuse Heartlit, attempt to access another person's account, interfere with the service, bypass limits, reverse engineer private service behavior except where allowed by law, or use Heartlit to harass, pressure, threaten, or harm another person.
Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from Settings in the app. Deletion ends your Heartlit connection and removes or de-identifies account-scoped app data where feasible. Some limited records may be retained when needed for security, billing reconciliation, fraud prevention, service integrity, or legal obligations.
Disclaimers
Heartlit is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Notifications can be delayed, suppressed, or unavailable because of device settings, Apple services, network conditions, quiet hours, or backend availability.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Heartlit and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions arising from your use of Heartlit.
Changes
We may update these terms as Heartlit changes. Continued use of Heartlit after changes means you accept the updated terms.
